years old which is as old as Surin City. It was built by Phraya Surin Pakdee Srinarong Jangwang (Pum), the first Lord Governor, around 1757-1787. Within is a Buddha statue named Luang Por Phra Chee (Luang Por Bra Jee) in the Marawichai (Overcoming Temptations) pose, lap width of 2 meters. It is assumed that it was built at the same time as the temple and is considered to be the Province\u2019s main Buddha.
