It is considered to be a sacred location for all Surin inhabitants for a long time and revered by all. It was originally a shrine without a pillar yet but in 1968 The Fine Arts Department designed and reconstructed a new shrine. The Pillar itself is made from Java Cassia wood procured from Mr.Prasit Maneekan of Sai Yoke District, Kanchanaburi Province. The Pillar is 3 meters high with a circumference of 1 meter. The raising ceremony and celebrations were held 15 March 1974
