His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s 80th Birthday Anniversary Park (New Park)

Construction commenced in 2005 and was completed in 2008 with the objective of building a park with trees and nature for recreation purposes and as a travel destination as well as being a Surin indigenous flora conservation location. There is an multi-purpose exercise square, Children’s Museum, Pavilions, Jogging trails, Bicycle lanes and a Botanical Garden. It also functions as a water receiving area to contain flood waters which would otherwise inundate the Municipality Area and surrounding areas. It consists of a large reservoir in the model of the monkey cheek initiative of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great and is currently managed by the Surin Provincial Administrative Agency.
