Prasat Ban Pluang is small temple constructed with white sandstone on a laterite base with a 8 x 23 m. rectangle layout. The entrance is on the eastern side and the other 3 walls have decorative doors. The lintels on the east and south have carvings depicting Indra on the Erawan elephant. The north lintel depicts Krishna defeating the serpent Kaliya but the west lintel has no carvings.
The east gable depicts Krishna lifting the horns of Bull Vardhana while the north gable depicts Indra on the Erawan elephant and the south gable depicts a person sitting on a demon-deity. A pond surrounds the temple except for the entrance side.
The style of Prasat Ban Pluang is similar to the minor pagoda at Phanom Rung Hill and from the carvings and motifs on the gables and lintels, it can be listed as Khmer Art of the Ba Puan period, approximately in the 16th Buddhist century.
Prasat Ban Pluang has been fully renovated by the Fine Arts Department.
